Association for Conflict Management for a paper on dispute system
design co-authored with graduate student, Jeanne T. Johnson.
Professor
Jameson's current research explores the role of emotion in conflict
management and the dialectical tension of autonomy and connection in
conflict processes. These ideas have been studied in the
contexts of healthcare, mediation, and a variety of organizational
settings. Previous research included the design and testing of a
model for the assessment and management of intraorganizational
conflict for use by managers, employees, and third-party conflict
managers as well as applying diffusion theory to the integration of
dispute resolution systems into an organizational culture.
Professor
Jameson is a certified mediator and has assisted with mediation
training for university administrators and ombudspersons. Other
professional activities include workshops on conflict management and
the facilitation of organizational planning sessions.
Professor Jameson serves on the steering committee for the NC State
Institute for Nonprofits and has played an active role in the design
of the interdisciplinary minor in nonprofit studies.
