Communication Graduate Students Association
One way to meet and socialize with other graduate students in your discipline is to join the Communication Graduate Students Association. This lively group organizes social events, serves as a communication link between the faculty and the graduate students, and represents the interests of graduate students at the University Graduate Student Association meetings. The CGSA also works with local non-profits on semester-long community service initiatives. These programs are a great way for students to apply their communication knowledge, contribute to the community, and participate in a project that will add value to any resume or C.V. Finally, being a graduate student also involves learning about the university and community, and the best way to do this is by tapping into the knowledge and experiences of your peers.
