Communication Summer Camp:
Each year we review our costs to ensure that all expenses can be covered by our camper’s tuition. Last year tuition for the week was $400. This fee covers a week (Monday – Friday; 10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.) of college-level instruction; camp-hours accident insurance; course materials; use of broadcast-quality studio and equipment; Camp T-shirt; Parking permit if needed; Certificate of Achievement; a final day reception and newscast screening for campers and parents w/ a parking permit for 1 vehicle/student; and a DVD of campers’ newscasts.
A minimum deposit of $200.00 is due at the time of registration (registration opens March 15th annually) and must be mailed in along with all registration documents. The remaining balance is due no later than May 31st. If the tuition balance is not received by May 31st, the initial deposit minus $25.00 will be refunded and we will contact the next person on the camp waiting list.
Tuition refunds — minus a $25.00 service fee — will be given if COM Camp staff are notified by postal mail or email by 5:00 p.m., May 31st, that a camper will not be attending. After that date, and through 5:00 p.m. July 6th, refunds will be granted only if there is a potential camper on the waiting list who can fill the slot.
Refunds will be granted only at the Director’s discretion after Friday July 5th
Please pay by check (per the amounts indicated above) and make payable to:
