Leaving the stage with your diploma doesn’t need to mean the end of our relationship! It simply marks a change in your status from remarkable student to esteemed alumnus/alumna.
We want to hear about your accomplishments, activities and the ways you’ve integrated what you learned here into your professional and personal life. Your accomplishments inspire future students.
We also appreciate your generosity. Our alumni share their time and talents. You are known for paying it forward, for making it possible for tomorrow’s students to benefit from your experiences and from your philanthropy.
Positive Perspective, Reinforced
Want to see positivity personified? Meet Tiffany Johnson. Despite personal challenges, she earned scholarships, was active in clubs, and even served – for one day – as dean of the college. Johnson graduated magna cum laude as a double major in communication and political science.
Setting the Stage for Miami City Ballet
Communication alumnus John D. Hall won’t be on stage when the Miami City Ballet begins its performance of the Shakespeare classic, A Midsummer Night's Dream, but his work as the ballet’s production and lighting director will play a central role.
Finding a Niche in Reality TV
Brian “B-Rob” Robinson is not your ordinary song-and-dance man. At 39, the Charlotte, N.C., native and NC State communication alumnus has built a successful career in Southern California producing reality TV shows — specializing in amateur singing and dancing competitions. His credits include FOX-TV's So You Think You Can Dance and 12 years with American Idol, the show that launched fellow Wolfpacker Clay Aiken.
From Wolfpack Red to Blue Man Group Blue
Brian Tavener (Communication, ‘04) did something very unusual for an NC State alumnus: he turned blue. Tavener, a former Park Scholar, has been a member of the Blue Man Group, an international spectacle in which the performers dress in bald caps, blue-black costumes and makeup, for more than six years. Blue Man Group performances are regularly seen across the country and around the world.
