Achieve Your Goals

We assign each communication major an undergraduate advisor who will help guide you through the program. Advisors will help you choose courses, explore opportunities, and explain department, college and university policies and procedures.

Advisors help you meet your academic goals and make the most of your time in the program. We encourage you to reach out often by email, phone or in-office visits.

Students are assigned to advisors based on their academic level within the program:

  • Freshmen: 1-29 credit hours passed
  • Sophomores: 30-59 credit hours passed
  • Juniors: 60-89 credit hours passed 
  • Seniors: 90+ credit hours passed
