Sitting Pretty with Simply Sitting

Ginny Hager (Communication ’08) has surrounded herself with children since she started babysitting at the age of 13. During college, she continued growing her network with families she babysat for as a means of income.

Hager found other work after graduation, but kept hearing from parents who struggled to find trustworthy, dependable sitters.

So this entrepreneur created Simply Sitting, a service that connects families to the best babysitters in their area. She currently has a goldmine of 200 Hager-approved babysitters who work as independent contractors in areas including Raleigh, Cary, Chapel Hill, Charlotte, Wilmington, Atlantic Beach/Morehead City, Greensboro, High Point and Winston-Salem.
